36000 Yaba pills recovered from a passenger bus

Police recovered 36,000 Yaba pills from a passenger bus in front of Sonargaon Meghna Toll Plaza in Narayanganj.
The bus driver, supervisor and helper have been arrested in this incident. This incident happened on Sunday noon (December 18). The accused have been identified as Zubaid Bhuiyan (30) son of one Hiron Mia of Sagutia village of Shibpur Police Station of Narsingdi district, Mamun Miah (52) son of one deceased Almas of Bakshiganj Police Station of Jamalpur district and Abdul Awal Siddique (30) son of one Mizanur Rahman of Jagirpara area of the same district.
Additional Superintendent of Police B-Circle Sheikh Billal Hossain said that based on secret information, Narayanganj District Police came to know that a gang was coming to Dhaka with a large number of yaba in a bus named Relax King from Cox’s Bazar.
Based on this information, a team under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police B-Circle Sheikh Billal Hossain took position at the police check post at Char in Asharia of Meghna Ghat under Sonargaon Police Station.
Later at 12.05pm a Relax King bus was stopped. At that time, 36000 pieces of Yaba were found in two packets.
The arrested are members of a big drug syndicate which have been smuggling drugs from Cox’s Bazar to Dhaka for a long time. Efforts are on to nab other members of the gang.
