Mehidy Miraz hits maiden century

Prolific all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit his maiden century in his One Day International campaign. Miraz scored exact 100 against India in the second One Day International (ODI) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday. Miraz remained unbeaten before Bangladesh’s innings came to an end. Earlier, Miraz’s highest score was 81 (not out) in his ODI campaign.
Miraz played 83 deliveries hitting eight fours and four sixes to score his maiden century.
Miraz fulfilled his first ODI century in the last over of Bangladesh’s innings. Miraz’s partner Nasum Ahmed gave the strike to Miraz after taking one run by leg-by in the first ball of Shardul Thakur’s over. Miraz was on 85 in that time. Miraz showed courage as he was not victim of nervous nineties. He hit a sixer in the second ball. Miraz failed to score any run in the third ball. Then, He struck another sixer in the fourth ball. He scored two runs in the fifth ball. Miraz fulfilled his ton after pushing the ball to mid-on and reached the exact 100 in the last ball of the Shardul Thakur.
After hitting a ton, Miraz celebrated his maiden century.
It may be mentioned that Miraz scored a marvelous 39 runs in the first ODI at the same venue. He remained unbeaten and played the key role to earn an incredible victory for Bangladesh.
