Bangladesh clinched the One Day International (ODI) series 2-0 against India remaining one match. Bangladesh earned a thrilling five-run victory over India in the second ODI match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday. Batting first Bangladesh piled up a fighting total of 271 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and then restricted India to 266 for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs.
Earlier, the hosts beat India by one wicket in their first ODI at the same venue on December 4.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz played the key role for yesterday’s victory hitting his maiden century. He remained unbeaten with exact 100 runs. He hit four sixes and eight fours in his 83-ball innings.
Later, he captured two wickets at the cost of 46 runs.
