Father held in connection with killing two children

Police have arrested a man in connection with the killing of two minor children at Birol of Dinajpur.
The two victim brothers have been identified as Emon Hasan,7, and Emran Hasan,3.
The accused father has been identified as Shariful Islam, son of one Rafikul Islam in Shankarpur area of Biral municipality.
Rezaul Hasan Reza, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Birol Police Station confirmed the matter to the media on Saturday (November 26) saying that police recovered the bodies of two brothers inside a sack from an abandoned room of Bhabani Government Primary School in Birol of Dinajpur.
Police suspects that the two children were killed by poisoning.
According to the locals, on Thursday evening, Shariful Islam took his two sons from the house by telling them to buy winter clothes from a market. As they did not come home until late night, the children’s grandfather started searching. But he did not find them anywhere. Later, around 10.00 am on Friday, he came to know through the locals that the bodies of two children were lying in a room of a primary school. Arriving at the scene, he identified the bodies of the grandsons.
