Youth arrested for distorting photo of PM

A young man named Ariful Islam (18) was arrested for posting the distorted picture of Sheikh Hasina on Facebook on Wednesday.
Ariful is son of Fazlur Rahman of Nayakata village under Dhulasar Union of Kalapara Upazila in Patuakhali district.
Dhulasar union Swechchhasebok League president Mintu Mia as plaintiff lodged a case in this connection accusing Ariful and 2/3 unnamed with Mahipur Police Station under Digital Security Act.
Abul Khair, OC of Mohipur police station, said that Ariful Islam first on Tuesday afternoon posted several pictures satirizing the Prime Minister on Facebook from his ID on early Tuesday. This created anger among the locals and then he changed his Id to ‘Charmonai Mujahid’ and does the same on Tuesday noon.
The SL leader lodged case under digital security act as in this connection and based Volunteer league leader at night.
Based on the complain, Arif was arrested and the mobile with that Facebook ID was seized from him on Wednesday noon
The OC said that the arrestee has been sent to Patuakhali jail after handed over him to the court Wednesday afternoon.
