3-day long Int’l Expo on power, fuel infrastructure begins

A three-day long international exhibition “7th SAFECON 2022” on making strategy for safe and sustainable infrastructure, construction equipment and new technologies has started in the capital.
State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam inaugurated the exhibition at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) at Kuril Bishwa Road, Dhaka.
SAVOR International Limited organized the exhibition incorporating with safe and sustainable construction, building materials & technologies in a single domicile.
The exhibition is collocated with relevant segment named ”Power-Gen”, ”Renewable Energy Show”, “Water Management Show” and “Safe HVACR”.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr Shamsul Alam said the government has established wide-spread communication and power infrastructures across the country considering the private sector as driving force of the economy.
As a result, consumer-friendly market system has been created in the country and the people are getting benefit from it, he said.
The state minister further said contribution of the industry sector to the country’s GDP is increasing day-by-day. For this, industry-friendly skilled human resources are required now.
The government has already taken initiatives to increase standard of education and working for making science and technology-based human resource, he said.
At the same time, the state minister urged the entrepreneurs of the private sector to come forward to create skilled human resource.
Terming Bangladesh an investment-friendly country, he also urged the entrepreneurs of the developed countries including China, Japan to invest here.
Some 120 companies of 14 countries are participated in the exhibition. The companies are showcasing their goods in 320 stalls. The Exhibition is open for all the visitors from to 22 October (10:00am to 8:00 pm), everyday.
