Tea worker committed suicide in Baralekha

A young tea worker of New Samanbagh tea plantation in Baralekha upazila committed suicide by drinking pesticides. Her name is Ranjita Oriya (19). She is the daughter of Nedu Oriya of Mokam section. The police recovered the body of the deceased and handed it over to the relatives after post-mortem recently. It is not clear why he committed suicide.
According to police and local sources, young tea worker Ranjita Oriya drank the pesticide in the house to kill the grass on Wednesday morning and her family members took her to the hospital in critical condition. He died while undergoing treatment around 11 pm. On receiving the information, the police recovered the body of the deceased on Thursday afternoon and sent it to the morgue for post-mortem.
