Two drug traders arrested with Yaba tablets

Netrakona Model Thana police in an anti-drug drive arrested two alleged drug traders with 3,407 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Tk 17 lakhs from Rajur Bazer area on Saturday .
The arrested drug traders were identified as Monir Uddin,27, son of Mohammad Delwar of village Farangacor under Luhagora police station of Chattagram district and Abul Khaiyer Moyeen Faruk alias Rasel ,46, son of late Abdul Mukit of village Bahircapra under Netrakona Sader upazila.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Netrakona Mohammad Foyaz Ahmed in a press briefing here Sunday informed that acting on a tip-off , a police team led by officer-in-charge of Netrakona model Thana Khandaker Shaker Ahmed conducted an operation at the Rajur bazer area and caught the two drug traders red- handed.
Then, the police team also recovered the aforesaid quantity of contraband drug item from their possession. Meanwhile, police filed a case with Netrakona Model Thana today against the arrested drug traders under Narcotics control act, the SP added. Additional police super Fakruzzaman Juwel and additional police super (Netrakona sader circle) Mursheda Khatun were present in the press briefing.
