BCL infighting injured 25 in Hossainpur

At least 25 people were injured, five serious by in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) centered on the dispute over the newly formed committee of Hossionpur Upazila Chhatra League and supremacy of the organisations on Monday at Asaduzzaman Khan Auditorium, Hossionpur of Kishoreganj.
 The clash took place in front of the Asaduzzaman Khan Auditorium in the town on Monday afternoon. At that time, a motorcycle was set on fire.
Serious injured men were admitted to Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SNIMCH), others admitted to local health centre and clinics.
Local Awami League leaders, BCL workers and local people said that at around 1 pm on Monday , a section of Hossionpur Chhatra League staged a demonstration with brooms and shoes in addition to the protest rally demanding the cancellation of the newly formed committee at Sadar Bazar in the town. Their program lasted for about two and half hours..
Their fighting between both sides with domestic sharp weapons and bricks were thrown.

Some eyewitnesses said that the area turned into a battlefield due to the conflict that last two and half hours, Traffic stopped.
Later, the police came and brought the situation under control.
When contact to Additional SP (Crime & Operation) Mohammad Nure Alam said, Additional police members have been deployed in the town to control the situation. legal action will be taken.
