Lightning kills farmer in Sherpur

Lightning kills farmer at Jhenaigati upazila in Sherpur on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Subhash Ghagra (55) son of late Manjur Nakrek at Deflai village in Nalkura union of Jhenaigati upazila.
Familial sources said Subhash Ghagra went to field to cut grass for his cattle ignoring the drizzling on Wednesday morning. He was seriously injured in a sudden lightning strike and died on spot. Family members rescued him and brought him home. On information, Jhenaigati thana police visited the spot. Subhash Ghagra is the father of a son and a daughter. His death has cast a shadow of mourning in the area.Officer-in-charge of Jhenaigati thana Monirul Alam Bhuiyan confirmed the death of the farmer.
