Role of Agrajattra for welfare of RMG workers lauded

Project Coordinator of PSES Project of German Technical Cooperation(GIZ) Mr.Magnus Schmid has lauded the role of Agrajattra for their extra ordinary role in welfare of garments workers .
He said this while inaugurating the Erect Computer Training Centre & Cyber Café at Agrajattra office building in Jamal Khan road on Saturday last . Erect is one of the sister concern of Agrajattra which conducting a number of training programs for the unemployed youths. GIZ has extended maximum cooperation for establishing the Computer Centre & Cyber café . In his brief inaugural address said GIZ was dreaming for establishment of a computer centre in the port city aimed at aimed at activating the youth unemployed generations since long and their dream now fulfilled with the cooperation of Agrajattra. Mr. Magnus thanked the Agrajattra for providing all out cooperation for the computer centre. Program officer of the GIZ, PSES project Ms. Heinke Shoger was also present on the occasion. In the inaugural session, among others Social Compliance Advisor of GIZ Mejabin Ahmed, Executive Director of Agrajattra Md. Helaluddin, officials of Agrajattra , journalists and students of the centre were present .
President of Agrajattra Neelima Akhter Chowdhury in her address of welcome to the visiting guests greeted them for extending cooperation to Agrajattra in establishing a income generating professional centre . She also disclosed that the income proceeds from the centre after mitigating the overhead expenditures will be spent for the welfare of the women garments workers . Mentionable that Agrajattra is working with the garments workers for their empowerment and increase of skillness of work for the last one decade in the port city duly patronized by GIZ, Oxfam GB and Action Aid , a release of Agrajattra said.
