The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined online ticketing platform shohoz.com Tk two lakh for it`s negligence after hearing the allegation brought by Dhaka University(DU) student Mohiuddin Roni.
DNCRP Director General AHM Shafiquzzaman infromed the development in a press briefing on Wednesday.
“Shohoz’s negligence has been proven in the hearing and it will have to pay Tk two lakh within five working days,” he added.
Mohiuddin Roni will, however, continue his peaceful protest until his six-points demands are met.
“The DNCRP have fined two lakh taka to give me a satisfaction.
But I am not satisfied with it. My peaceful protest will continue until all my demands are met,” he added.
Earlier, Mohiuddin Roni along with a group of students in a solidarity with him brought out a long march program on Tuesday from Kamalapur Railway Station to Rail Bhaban and gave a memorandum about the six-points to the Railway Director General Dhirendra Nath Mazumder.
Mohiuddin Roni began his solo protest movement on 7 July against the corruption and mismanagement of Bangladesh Railway. Now the protest has became a universal protest of the country.
