A man is killed for marrying his friend’s wife

Russell Hossain alias Kata Russell was in jail in 13 cases. But when he was in jail, his wife Sathi married his friend Rakib.
According to CID officials, it made Russell ireful and he killed his friend on bail to revenge the marriage.
Russell was arrested from the Mirpur area on Monday night (June 13), Special Superintendent of Police Muktadhar told it to the media at Malibagh CID office on Tuesday morning.
He was hiding in various places since the incident. He was later arrested after his position was identified with the help of intelligence sources and information-evidence and technology.
Russell said in the preliminary interrogation that he married Sathi from Chuck Bouddhanathpur area about seven years ago. They have a child named Redwan Ahmed Rose (5) in their family.
According to sources, he was arrested by the Natore Sadar Police Station on March 23 in connection with the robbery. While in jail, her wife divorced her husband Russell and married Rakib to start a new marriage life. After receiving the news, Russell started plotting to take revenge on Rakib. On May 1, he was released on bail and came to the area to look for Rakib.
It may be mentioned that on June 1, Rakib was called and brought to the overbridge of the Natore railway platform. There, Rakib ran away as soon as he saw his wife’s ex-husband and his ex-friend Russel. At that time, Russel hitting Rakib on the back and various parts of the body with knives with the intention of killing him with the help of his men.
After the incident, he was rushed to Natore Sadar Hospital where he was declared dead. The CID official added that there were 14 cases against Russell. Of these, two cases are under investigation and 12 cases are pending with the court.
