Pro-BNP lawyers panel for SCBA election

Pro-BNP lawyers’ platform Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF) has announced its panel for the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) executive committee election for 2022-23 sessions.
Senior Advocate and also a former Secretary of the SCBA Barrister Bodruddoza Badal has been picked for the President post in the upcoming polls, while incumbent Secretary Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal has again been nominated for his current post.
Central leaders of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum finalised the panel in a meeting held on Tuesday night at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office, said lawyer Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajal, Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum’s Supreme Court unit.
Advocate Mohammad Monir Hossain and Advocate Asrarul Haque will contest the posts of Vice-President, Advocate Mahfuz Bin Yousuf and Advocate Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Khan will vie for the posts of Assistant Secretary and Advocate Md Kamal Hossain will appear for the post of Treasurer from the panel.
Lawyers Md Golam Akter Zakir, Monjurul Alam Sujan, Mahdin Choudhury, Fatima Akter, Mohammad Faisal Dastagir, Md Mostofa Kamal Bachchu and Anwarul Islam Badhon will for the seven posts of Executive Member from the panel.
The annual election of the Supreme Court Bar Association for its 14 executive posts will be held on March 15 and 16.
SCBA Secretary Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal recently announced the schedule by issuing a notification. A meeting of the present executive committee finalized it said the Secretary.
Earlier on February 26, the Pro-Awami League lawyers’ forum Sammilita Ainjibi Samannay Parishad (SASP) announced their panel for the election.
