Bangladesh, Bahrain, Malaysia, Turkmenistan in Group-E

Bangladesh, Bahrain, hosts Malaysia and Turkmenistan in Group-E of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup qualifiers.
The final round of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers will be held in China in 2023. A total of 24 teams will take part in the final round of the gala football meet.
The draw ceremony of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers was held at Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia on Thursday. The Group-E qualifiers of AFC Asian Cup will be held at Malaysia from June 8 to June 14. The three opponents of Bangladesh have advanced, according to the latest FIFA ranking. Bahrani have taken the 89th position, hosts Malaysia have achieved 154th spot, Turkmenistan have obtained 134th position. On the other hand, Bangladesh have taken the 186th position.
A total of 24 teams splitting into six groups will take part in the qualifiers. The champions of the each group will get tickets of the final round. The best five runners-up team will also play in the final round. Besides, the hosts China will play in the final round.
Jordan, Kuwait, Indonesia Nepal are in Group-A, Palestine, Philippines, Yemen, Mongolia are in Group-B, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Maldives, Sri Lanka are in Group-C, India, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Hong Kong are in Group-D, Kirgizstan, Myanmar, Singapore and Tajikistan are in Group-F.
Meanwhile, after playing the qualification matches of Qatar World Cup, a number of 12 teams will play in the final round of the AFC Asian Cup. They are: Japan, Syria, Qatar, South Korea, Australia, Iran, The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Vietnam and Lebanon.
