No election under this govt : Nazrul

Bangladesh Nationalist Party standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan on Friday said an impartial, competent and courageous election commission is needed for a free and fair election in Bangladesh.
Speaking at a discussion meeting, the BNP leader also said, “We don’t want any election in Bangladesh under this government and this election commission. No one in our country is interested to discuss over
the election. There is no election in our country, all are farce.”
Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal arranged the programme at the Jatiya Press Club, marking its 54th founding anniversary.
Nazrul Islam Khan also said, “On an average 350 cases are pending against every BNP leaders and activists. They have to appear in court in multiple cases on a single day. Thousands of activists have already been disappeared and more than 500 were murdered. The Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal had gone through a worse period once. That is why I have special love and good wishes for this party.”
Comrade Dr Syed Nurul Islam, Secretary of the Samyabadi Dal, presided over the meeting. He said the present government is an illegal government and they don’t have any right to stay in power any more. The government should handed over the power to a neutral caretaker government immediately, added the Secretary.
Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) Chairman Mostofa Zamal Haider, Labour Party Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran, National Peoples Party Chairman Fariduzzaman FArhad, LDP Chairman Shahadat Hossain Selim, Jatiya Gonotantrik Party Chairman Khandaker Lutfor Rahman, among others, were present in the programme.
