201 dengue patients hospitalised

Another 201 patients were hospitalized with Dengue fever across Bangladesh in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With no deaths reported during the period, the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease this year remained static at 83, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the new patients, 140 were undergoing treatment in Dhaka hospitals while the remaining 61 cases were reported from outside the division.
Of the deceased, 77 people died in Dhaka division alone, two each in Chattogram and Khulna divisions and one each in Rajshahi and Mymensingh division.Some 844 patients diagnosed with dengue are receiving treatment in the country as of Sunday morning.
Of them, 651 patients are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while the remaining 193 were listed outside Dhaka.
Since January, some 21, 402 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue in the country.
Meanwhile, As many as 201 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.
With this, a total of 844 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different hospitals. Among them, 651 are receiving treatment in Dhaka while the rest 193 are outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
It said a total of 21,402 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country as of today since January 1 this year. To date, 83 people died of dengue while 20,475 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
