Shooter Tumpa’s family seek ‘doa’ for her recovery

National shooter Zakia Sultana Tumpa’s family has sought ‘doa’ (blessing) for her speedy recovery as the celebrated shooter has been admitted to the ICU at a city hospital after testing Covid-19 positive. Tumpa, who finished at fourth place after an exciting final at the women’s 10m Air Rifle event of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, remained isolated at her home in Lalmonirhat but as her health condition suddenly deteriorated, she was admitted to the city’s Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital last week. Zakia’s father Taslim Uddin also tested positive for covid-19 but his physical condition is stable now.
Tumpa’s family sources said her condition is still critical as the Oxygen saturation is generally below 70 and her lungs are said to be affected also by 70 percent.
