Shahnoor to work as jury board member for int’l film award

Few days ago, to implement the final round of OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) ‘Dhaka OIC Youth Capital Film Award 2020-21,’ a three-member jury board was formed. In the jury board, a Secretary of the Information Ministry (convener), a teacher of University of Dhaka and popular film actress Shahnoor, were included. Shahnoor informed the matter after getting a letter signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on May 18. Shahnoor along with other members of the jury board will select top three positions out of 18 documentary films which were earlier announced as regionally winners for the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital Film Award.
Shahnoor is very much excited and delighted to get the opportunity to perform as member of the jury board from an international film award. While talking in this regard she said, “In my long time acting career, I got prays and appreciations from many persons. I also got a lot of love from the viewers. For acting I have no pain not to get the National Film Award till now. It is my achievement to get the viewers’ loves. It is true that I see myself as a very simple actress. I believe to get the scope to work as a member or judge of the jury board in the final round of Dhaka OIC Youth Film Award 2020-21 is a great honour to me. As a film actress, it is my great achievement. Because the persons who kept their confidence on me to work as judge for documentary films they really thought many things about me. I want to perform my duty properly. I give thanks to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and also thanks to my fans. During corona pandemic, I have to work.” Shahnoor also said that members of the jury board will give their joint evolutions and judgments through online platform. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will coordinate the matter. She will start her work on May 24 maintaining social distance and hygiene properly. After judgment, winners of the top three positions will be announced and later awards will be given.
