Momtaz to stand by people of her constituency

Today is the birthday of noted folk singer and Member of the Parliament Momtaz Begum. Like previous year, she has no excitement about her birthday due to ongoing corona pandemic situation across the world. She will give time to the people today, according to Momtaz. She said today she will distribute reliefs among the destitute people of her constituency in Manikganj from the government and her own relief funds. She wants to pass the day with them. While talking in this regard Momtaz said, “I have no excitement and joy for my birthday. It is true that I get many wishes for my birthday from Facebook and phone calls. It is a great achievement for me. I never forget what happened in my life and who helped me to come into this position. I never
forget people of my constituency. If they remain well I will also remain well.”
Recently Momtaz got honourary Doctor of Music degree from an Indian university. She is the only singer in the world who has 800 hundreds released albums. She has been engaged with folk songs for last three decades. Meanwhile, under Belal Khan’s music composition Momtaz lent her voice for Hasibur Reza Kollol’s new movie Bondhu.
