Readers’ Voice: Ecommerce Seems Slowed

The covid-19 pandemic has forced the government across the globe to enforce lockdown, which resulted in people spending most of their time at home. Consequently, the purchasing of consumers products from physical stores have declined significantly. Online businesses have exploded as buying something online has become the practice. Some people started online businesses to sell goods from their physical shops, others as a new source of income to replace lost jobs, and others as a way to make money doing something they enjoy. Many online bakeries, art galleries, jewelry stores, clothing lines, and other businesses have sprung up thanks to social media sites like Website, Facebook, and Instagram.
During the pandemic, most companies are launched on the heat of the moment, without any market analysis or preparation. This is why, after the pandemic, the majority of new online businesses fail, with only a few surviving. A successful business requires not only good planning and market analysis, but also hard work and dedication. To be effective in business, one must conduct thorough market research, systematically plan everything, and work with tenacity and consistency.
