Court orders to send Bodi to jail

A Dhaka court has ordered to send ruling Awami League’s Cox`s Bazar-4 lawmaker Abdur Rahman Bodi to jail in a case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Maruf Hossian passed the order rejecting his bail petition on Sunday. Earlier on September 11, The High Court (HC) granted a four-week bail in the case, and as per High Court order he appeared before the CMM court to seek bail. ACC sued Abdur Rahman Bodi, Mahbubur Rahman, MP and former state minister for water resources, and Abdul Mannan Khan, former state minister for housing and public works, for illegal wealth accumulation.
