Cheating with 100 women on Facebook

A twister has been arrested by the detective branch (DB) of police from city’s Jatrabari on charges of cheating with 100 women over different social platforms like Facebook recently. The accused cheater was identified as Belal Hossain.
Sources said that accused Belal used to make relationship with several women introducing himself as a big government official. And finally he did the physical relationship with the women in the temptation of marriage.
In this way, this fraudster swindled millions of taka by trapping about one hundred women in the last 8 years by taking nude pictures-videos and blackmailing.
Not only this, he also pretended in the guise of police officer to cheat again in the name of arresting cheaters.
The DB police gave this information after his recent arrest in a case under the Digital Security Act.
According to DB officials, accused Belal Hossain made a relationship with a woman from Dhalpur in Jatrabari of the capital after his introduction on Facebook.
The victim woman filed a case with the police station alleging that accused cheater had secretly taken pictures and blackmailed her into having sexual relations.
The Motijheel division of the DB started investigation over the allegation.
Later accused Belal was identified with the help of information technology. He was arrested from Jatrabari. After his arrest, Belal said, he came to Dhaka from Barishal and used to drive a private car.
Confirming the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Motijheel (Detective) Asadulzaman told the media that after the arrest, Belal’s offensive pictures with about 100 women were recovered from various social media accounts including Facebook.
Evidence has also been found that lakhs of taka have been swindled by showing these pictures to the victims’ women. Action will be taken against him according to law.
Even Belal’s relatives were not spared from this cheating.
To avoid such deceives, DB police has asked to be careful before building a relationship over social media like Facebook.
