The three-day long Marcel Refrigerator 2nd National School & College Bashap Championship concluded at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council on Monday.
Mohammadpur Boys School emerged champions of the team event of the Boys’ Group of School Division with 17 points while Mirpur Bangla School became runners-up with 16 points in the same division.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls High School emerged champions of the team event of the Girls’ Group of School Division with 13 points while Gonobhaban Government High School finished runners-up with eight points in the same division.
Dhaka Commerce College emerged champions of the team event of the Boys’ Group of College Division with 12 points while Sher-e-Bangla Nagar College became runners-up with 11 points in the same division.
Dhaka Commerce College emerged champions of the team event of the Girls’ Group of College Division with eight points while Viqarunnisa Noon School & College became runners-up with two points in the same division.
Kazi Arafat of Mohammadpur Government Boys School was the best player of Boys’ Group (School Division), Joynab Akhter of Gonobhaban Government High School was the best athlete of Girls’ Group (School Division), Tashish Ahmed of Western College was the best player of the Boys’ Group (College Division) and Natalinaz of Dhaka Commerce College was the best athlete of Girls’ Group (College Division).
They got home appliance on behalf of Marcel.
Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Head of Marketing of Marcel Mosharrof Hossain Rajeeb and Deputy Director of RB Group Feroze Alam were with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Weightlifting Federation Wing Commander Mohiuddin Ahmed and General Secretary of Bangladesh Bashap Association Khaled Mansur Chowdhury were present at the time.
