Three held over N’ganj journo murder

Police have arrested three persons in a case filed over killing journalist Elias Mia in Bandar of Narayanganj on Sunday night.
After filing of the case by the deceased’s wife, police arrested three accused -Tushar, 28, Mina, 60, and Misir Ali, 53-at night.
The other accused are Hasnat Ahmed Turjoy, 24, Masud, 36, Sagor, 26, Pavel, 25, and Hazrat Ali, 50. Earlier, Elias Mia, correspondent of Daily Bijoy, was hacked to death in Geodhara intersection area of Bandar at night.
Bandar Police Station inspector (Investigation) Shafiqul Islam said it is primarily suspected that he might have been killed over the issue of illegal gas connection and drug business.
