Summit Technopolis signs deal with SydneySun

SydneySun International (authorised distributor of Dahua Technology of China, world’s second largest video-centric smart Internet of Things (IoT) solution and service provider in Bangladesh) to invest $5 million to build and operate a manufacturing and video surveillance assembly plant at the Block II of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City in Kaliakoir, Gazipur.
Regarding this, both the company signed an agreement with Summit Technopolis at SydneySun head office in the city on Monday. Hosne Ara Begum, ndc, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Md Shahid-ul-Munir, President of Bangladesh Computer Samity(BCS) was witnessed at the land lease agreement signing ceremony. Besides, Latif Khan, Vice-Chairman, Fadiah Khan, Salman Khan, Directors of Summit Group along with other senior officials of both companies was also attended by virtually.
Under the deal, the prefabricated plant construction of Semi Knocked Down (SKD) video surveillance equipment will begin soon and expected to be operational by January 2021. Initially, SydneySun is expected to employ about 90 Bangladeshi engineers along with 10 foreign expertises at the plant. The manufactured products will be sold in the domestic market as well as foreign markets, said a press release.
