AFC President's Cup: Sk Russel KC to play Rimyongsu Club today

Bangladesh champions Sheikh Russel KC will play strong Rimyongsu Club of North Korea in their do-or-die last Group B match of the AFC President’s Cup at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka today (Wednesday).
The match will start at 1:30 pm (Bangladesh Time).
Sheikh Russel KC brightened their chance to play in the final of the AFC President’s Cup beating Erchim FC of Mongolia by 1-0 goal, scored by Nigerian forward Kingsley Chigozie, in their Group B opener.
Rimyongsu Club of Korea topped the Group B list eliminating all losers Erchim FC of Mongolia by 5-0 goals on Monday. Ahead of the Wednesday’s high voltage match, Sheikh Russel KC captain Mithun Chowdhury expressed his determination to win the match for the shake of country.
“I have only message to my teammates that we have no other option but to win and that is for the country,” Sheikh Russel Captain said, according a message received here by Bangladesh Football Federation from Colombo.
The players of the Sheikh Russel KC believe that they have the ability to reach the final if they are able to play as per their capacity. Sheikh Russel KC had an advantage of enjoying three days rest after their first match while Rimyongsu Club got only one day before the 2nd and last group encounter.
Moreover, Sheikh Russel KC, which will play on 4-1-4-1 formation, will get service of their forward Shakil, who recovered from the injury.
In all, six teams — split into two groups – are taking part in the final round of the continental soccer meet.
Group A – Air Force SC of Sri Lanka, Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal and FC HTTU of Turkmenistan.
Group B – Sheikh Russell KC of Bangladesh, Erchim FC of Mongolia and Rimyongsu Club of DPRK.
Two group champions will play in the final on September 26 at 4:00 pm.
