Youth held with firearms in Ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested a youth with a foreign-made pistol and bullets from city’s Chandgaon residential area in the early hours of yesterday.
The arrested was identified as Rashedul Islam, 27, hailed from Kalyan para under Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
On a tip-off, a team of Chandgaon police conducted a raid in a house at “A Block” in Chandgaon residential area and arrested Rashedul around 3am, second officer of Chandgaon Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said.
