Quote right references, please

In the television channels’ talk-show programme, sometimes guest speakers try to defend their views and opinions with reference to the Quran and the Sunnah. The challenge is good if the name of the Surah with verse number is mentioned and the Hadith is rightly narrated. But these are not done, which deprives us from study.
As for example, last week, a guest speaker said that Allah hath cursed two religious communities on account of their rebellious activities and it is in the Quran, but he did not tell the name of the Surah and the verse. In our view, this is not the way and, therefore, argument with reference to the Quran and the Sunnah without proper specification should be stopped forthwith.
We think that the learned speaker could have said that Allah curses liars and ignorant (Ref: 51/10, 11), defrauders (83/1,2,3), slanderers, defamers (104/1), those who conceal Allah’s proofs and guidance, and those who die as disbelievers ((2/159, 161), Zakat defaulters, polytheists (41/6,7) and those who write book with their own hands and say: This is from Allah (2/79). As we are Muslims, it implies upon us to put our argument with reference to the Quran and the Sunnah where it necessitates. But while doing it, utmost care should be taken so that controversy does not arise.

A good coinage!

Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. I think the name is very suitable because the Bangla word ‘Dhaka’ means “covered”. Many criminal acts are being covered up here, We do not yet know who are murderer Sagar-Runi, where is Ilias Ali and many murders and forced disappearances are happening regularly which are being covered up.
Padma Bridge corruption probe has been laid to rest. ACC certified that none has been found guilty.
But people know the truth better. Dust will settle down on many serious issues and cover those up.
