‘Traffic auto signaling to be launched this month’

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan told the parliament that the automatic traffic signaling system in the capital city would be launched on September 30.
“Installation work of 70 automated traffic signals at 70 intersections across the city is going on to control movement of motor vehicles by traffic signal,” he said this on Tuesday while replying to a question from an independent member Haji Mohammad Selim in the House.
Asaduzzaman said that Dhaka city has 70 intersections and traffic signals, of which 40 intersections are under Dhaka North City Corporation and 30 under Dhaka South City Corporation.
