Department of Computing and Information System (CIS) of Daffodil International University (DIU) celebrated a daylong program titled ‘CIS Day-2019’. Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustee, DIU inaugurated the program as chief guest on Monday held at the 71 Milonayoton of the university. Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor and Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor of DIU were present as the special guests.
Besides, Prof Dr Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Prof Dr Touhid Bhuiyan, Professor and Head, Department of Software Engineering, Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs and Md. Sarwar Hossain Mollah, Head, Department of Computing and Information System also addressed in the program.
The daylong program was included with Alumni Talk, Seminar, Project presentation and Cultural Program. Around 11 projects of last semester’s students were presented such as Automation Management System, Auto Parts E-Shop, Hostel Management System, Bakery Foods Hut, Sky Torch Hotel, Helping Hand etc.
While addressing as the chief guest Dr Sabur Khan said, it’s not enough to know how to explore your merit rather you also have to know the proper way of self-representation. Because it the time of strong competition and your competitor is spreading around the world. So, every student should know to grip the way of self-presentation besides gripping knowledge around the world. He commented.
In the meantime he said that now a day’s students have plenty of medium to present themselves in this technological era. One of the best medium is google site. You can make your own site in it without any cost. So make your website and start keeping your video resume, project, assignment etc. in it. He added.
Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam said to his speech that every people is different from each other in this world. Every people has own signature and every people has unique quality and identity. So find your unique quality and take care it, you will succeed.
