Seminar on ‘Higher edn: Regional perspective’ held at SUB

A seminar on ‘Higher Education: Regional Perspective, English as Skill’ was held on Saturday in seminar room of main campus of the State University of Bangladesh (SUB) at Dhanmondi. The seminar was attended by the faculty members of different departments of the university. Two important presentations, one on Higher Education: Regional Perspective by Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of the University and the other one on Transforming English Language Skills in Higher Education by Prof. AMM Hamidur Rahman, Adviser, and Department of English Studies were presented.
At the end of the Seminar ‘Faculty of the year award 2013’ was presented to seven faculty member of various department of the university. Dr. A M Shamim , President of the Board of Trustees of the State University of Bangladesh was the chief guest on the occasion
The president in his speech mentioned that the university has been established to impart quality education and to enrich the student with modern knowledge to take the challenge of present day situation.
