Probe into Jamalpur DC’s scandal begins

The probe body formed to look into the scandal of ex-Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ahmed Kabir has started investigating the incident.
A five-member body headed by Joint Secretary of Cabinet Division Md Mushfiqur Rahman on Thursday started their investigation to probe the scandal incident.
Jamalpur DC office sources said that the members of the probe body has talked with the female officer who was seen in a compromising position with the then DC in a leaked video.
Earlier, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Monday hinted that immediate past DC Ahmed Kabir might face harsh punishment like dismissal or demotion if he is found guilty of sexual scandal.
