Journalist arrested over rape accusation in Sylhet

Chowdhury Mamtaz, a journalist of the Daily Manabjamin. has been arrested on the chare of rape Tuesday .
Police sources said , he was arrested along his friend from a house at town’s Shekhghat area.
Rahmat Ullah, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner to the metropolitan told that ‘He took the victim assuring her of a job and raped with his friend. The arrest was made by the statement of the victim.’
The prey was hailed from Chandpur and currently undergoing Osmani Medical College Hospital in police protection.
