Aamir, Akshay to clash at box-office next Christmas
It is very common for big films to lock horns during the festive season. Stars usually block dates around festivals years in advance to avoid many releases. We all know Eid belongs to Salman Khan and no one beats him at the box-office during that time.
Similarly, Christmas is another time of the year when movies mint money at the ticket counter. In 2020, it’s going to be Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar who will come face to face at the movies during Christmas.
Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha which is the remake of Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump had announced its Christmas 2020 release a while back. Revealing the first poster, Akshay Kumar today announced Bachchan Pandey and confirmed that his film will also hit the theatres around the same time.
This is not the first time the two superstars have picked the same Friday for their movies. In 2007, Welcome and Taare Zameen Par released together and both went on to become big hits. Going by that record, we are up for a blockbuster Christmas in 2020.
