One held with 30 kg hemp

UNB, Chittagong :
Police arrested a man along with 30 kg hemp in a sack from City Gate area under Akbar Shah Police Station here early Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Abdul Aziz, 45, a resident of Chandpur district.
Officer-in-charge of Akbar Shah Police Station Abdul Majid said a patrol team of police searched the sack of Aziz in City Gate area around 5:30am and arrested him along with 30 kg hemp.
Aziz confessed to police that he took the hemp there from Comilla in a bid to sell this, said the OC.
The market value of the hemp was estimated at Tk 1.50 lakh.
