BAS-Professor Emeritus Dr Sultan Ahmed Choudhury Scientific Talents Nurture Fund Award Ceremony, an initiative of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences was held on Sunday at auditorium of the National Museum of Science and Technology in the capital.

Prof Dr Quazi Abdul Fattah, President, Bangladesh Academy of Science was present as chief guest while Zakia Rouf Chowdhury, Executive Vice Chairperson of Rangs Group, was the special guest of the program. Swapan Kumar Roy, Director General (Additional Secretary), National Museum of Science and Technology and Prof Dr ZN Tahmida Begum, Treasurer, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences were present there. Prof Dr Naiyyum Choudhury, Vice President, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences presided over the program.
78 students at school and college level throughout the country selected by Science competition of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences have been awarded with certificate and stipend. Seven university teachers were also awarded the Young Scientist Award for their best submitted journals. It is here to mention that Prof Emeritus Dr Sultan Ahmed Choudhury was the renowned child specialist of Bangladesh and founder of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences. (Press release)
