Eight more killed in road crashes

At least eight more persons including a banker, couple and a minor child were killed and 20 others critically injured in separate road accidents across the country on Friday.
In Lalmonirhat, two persons including an assistant driver were killed and 10 others seriously injured when a bus of Kurigram-bound Haque Paribahan rammed a truck on the Rangpur-Kurigram Highway in Lalmonirhat sadar upazila at 7am.
The deceased were identified as Abul Kashem, 45, an assistant truck driver and Mostafizar Rahman, 10.
Mahfuz Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
In Khulna, a couple was killed when a drum-truck hit their motorcycle in Purbo Jhildanga area of Dumuria upazila around 8:45am.
The deceased were identified as Nazrul Molla, 45, and Ayesha Siddiqui, 35, residents of Paikgacha Amadi union.
Dumuria police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Habil Hossain confirmed the matter to media.
The deceased were identified as Saidul Islam, 48, and Manik, 35.
In Feni, two persons were killed and four others injured when a covered-van rammed a truck on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Lemua area of the sadar upazila, around 6:30am.
Locals said that the accident occurred due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
The bodies were sent to the morgue of Feni Adhunik Hospital.

In Madaripur, a bus helper named Borahan Morlal, 22, was killed when another bus rammed his bus near the Sadur Bridge in Rajair upazila of Madaripur district.
The accident took place on Friday (23rd November) on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway.
The deceased was the son of Moazzem Morol of Debraj village under Ghatmajhi union.
Madaripur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Hasan confirmed the news to media.
In Gazipur, a Bank Officer named Kazi Ahsanul Haque Pavel (41) was killed in a confrontation clash between a private car and a truck at
Ulukhola in Kaliganj upazila of the district. The accident occured on Friday (November 23rd) on the bypass road in the morning.
Ahsanul was the son of Kazi Emdadul Haque of Banasree area of Dhaka.
