31 illegal BD immigrants arrested at Guwahati

Thirty-one Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from platform No. 1 in Guwahati railway station on Monday for possessing no valid documents to support their citizenship in India, reported ANI. The illegal immigrants were detained by the Railway Protection Force while they were on their way to go back to their country through Agartala. The immigrants had planned to reach their ancestral home in Bangladesh ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations. Assam: 31 Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in Guwahati while they were planning to go back to Bangladesh via Agartala.They were held from Guwahati railway station platform No. 1.They had been working in Bengaluru for last 3 years.
The foreigners were arrested when they were about to board the Kanchenjunga Express en route to Agartala, Tripura. Upon investigation, police found that Bangladeshi nationals had been working in Bengaluru for the last 3 years. The 31 Bangladeshi nationals had ten males, eight females and 13 children. When the Railway Police interrogated the foreigners, they revealed that they had illegally entered India two to three years ago.
As per a report, the foreigners reached Bangalore before going to Guwahati on Sunday. Upon reaching the Guwahati railway station, they spent the night there.
