Fruit vendor abducted in Jhenidah

A fruit vendor was abducted from Jhenidah town on Thursday mid night.
The victim is identified as Abdul Mannan, 40, son of Adam Ali of Kanchanpur area under Jhenidah municipality.
The abduction incident had created a mix reaction as Abdul Mannan was holding huge loan from the traders in the town. Some traders requesting anonymity said, either Abdul Mannan might go on hiding to save him from the loan money taken from the local businessmen, or the money lenders might abduct him to realize the money from him.
Abdur Rahim, a nephew of Abdul Mannan said, Mannan after his business hours was returning home at about 12.00 AM. When he arrived near Jhenidah girls high school, a gang of miscreants on gun point had abducted Mamman.
Later they had filed a general diary when the family members failed to trace Mannan out.
Jhenidah police station duty officer Rashida Begum when contacted said, a general diary was lodged with the police as some Adbul Mannan was abducted.
