2 indicted in Ctg double murder

A Chittagong court on Tuesday framed charges against two accused in the sensational mother and daughter murder case in the port city.
The court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge SM Mojibur Rahman passed the order against the prime accused Abu Raihan, (21), and his aide Shahid (25), in presence of them, and also fixed August 4 for recording deposition. Raihan, the so-called ex-boyfriend of victim Saima Naznin Nishat (16), along with the other suspect brutally killed Saima and her mother Rezia Begum (50) at the latter’s Agrabad residence in the morning of March 24 this year. Double Mooring police on May 25 submitted charge sheet of the case accusing them.
Both Raihan and his cohort, who went into hiding after the incident, confessed to killing the mother and daughter, police said. Raihan said he killed Saima, also an SSC examinee, as she started avoiding him and developed relationship with another boy.
