Arms snatched from ansar in Narsingdi

UNB, Narsingdi :
A gang of robbers looted valuables worth about Tk 5 lakh from three staff quarters of Palli Bidyut Samity at Morjal in Raipura upazila early Tuesday.
Office-in-Charge of Raipura Police Station Mahbub said a gang of 10-15 robbers swooped on the quarters of the Palli Bidyut Samity-2 office of the upazila around 2am and looted the valuables.
During the robbery, the bandits tied up three ansar members who were guarding the quarters after snatching their firearms.
However, they took away one firearms. The OC also said they were trying to track down the culprits involved in the robbery.
