AL leader Liaquat Ali’s 19th death anniv observed

The 19th death anniversary of former Labor Affairs Secretary of Chattogram City Awami League and former commissioner Liaquat Ali Khan was observed in a befitting manner here on Saturday.
Marking the day, Chittagong City AL organized a discussion on the premises of a mosque at Pachlaish Chalitatali in the city with its acting President Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury in the chair.
AL central Organizing Secretary Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury (Nowfel) addressed the discussion as the chief guest while city Mayor and General Secretary of Chittagong City AL AJM Nasir Uddin was the main speaker. Addressing the discussion, Nowfel urged the party men to work to strengthen the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to protect democracy.
“We have to make all-out efforts for strengthening the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to protect democracy. You have to keep in the mind that anti-liberation forces are still active against democracy, independence and sovereignty of the country,” he said.
