Minister for Water Resources Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud MP said present govt is working relentlessly to resolve the prevailing problems of the country as well as in Hathazari upazila. He said he personally monitoring the development activities of the Hathazari upazila .
The Minister disclosed this view while addressing the dwellers of Hathazari at his residence.
A team of Hathazari residents led by President of Bangladesh Human Rights Journalists Association journalist SM Jamaluddin paid courtesy call on Minister at his Hathazari residence on Saturday.
The Minister exchanges mutual greetings with the residents.
While exchanging views, the minister hailed the role the constructive role of the journalists and urges the journos to participate the local humanitarian services and development activities .
He further said ‘I am relentlessly trying to resolve the problems of the Hathazari . He sought blessings from the dwellers of Hathazari.
Among others, social personality Anowarul Azim Tipu, SM Yousuf Mirzapuri, journalist Samal Nath, APS to Minister Manzurul Alam, Officer- In-charge of Hathazari Model Thana Belaluddin Jahangir were present during the meet.
Banned polythene bags seized: The Department of Environment (DoE) on Sunday seized 1,600kgs of banned polythene bags below thickness of 55 micron at Pahartali in Chittagong city.
The team first recovered 600 polythene bags from a warehouse named Sami Store in Pahartali Bazar while the rest were recovered from an abandoned place in the area, said Assistant Director Sangjucta Dasgupta of DoE, Chittagong Zone.
The 600 polythene bags belonged to Md Golam Morshed of Golam Morshed & Brothers, Md Sultan of Ittadi Store, and Md Abul Kalam of Kalam Store. They were summoned to appear before the DoE office today, she added.
