Durga Puja to be celebrated in festive mood

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP said the coming Durga Puja festival will be celebrated with festivity mood and peacefully in Raozan upazila of Chittagong .
He disclosed it while addressing the preparatory meeting on Durga Puja as arranged by South Raozan Puja Udjapon Parishad on Saturday held Noapara Sheikh Kamal Complex building as Chief Guest. He said the people of Raozan irrespective of caste and creed are celebrating their respective religious festival with the spirit of non-communal Bangladesh since long .
The meeting was told that about 226 Puja Mandops will be erected in the upazila this year. The lawmaker called upon the law enforcing agencies of the upazila to keep watch against the evil forces to resist them from any sorts of anti-communal activities. President of Puja Udjapon Parishad Prakash Shil presided over the meeting. General secretary of the Puja Udjapon Parishad Melcom Chokraborty moderated the meeting. Upazila Chairman Ehsanul Haider Chowdhuyry Babul also addressed the conference as special guest.
