3 killed in road crash

Three people were killed and ten others injured when a passenger bus overturned at Noyakhal under Satkania upazila of the district this morning.
The dead were Giasuddin, 28, an inhabitant of ward number 8 of Satkania municipality and her wife Nurnahar Akhter Nuri, 23, and Azizul Islam, hailed from Banglabazar under Mirjakhil area of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Dohajari (highway police) Mizanur Rahman said the accident took place when a Satkania-bound passenger bus tried to overtake another bus and overturned at around 10.30 am.
The driver of the bus escaped the scene.
