Mayor commits repairing roads before Eid
Four of a family were killed in a tragic road accident at Toll Plaza area at Shah Amanat Bridge side in Chittagong on Sunday.

The 25th General Meeting of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) held at KB Abdus Sattar hall. Mayor of CCC A J M Nasir Uddin chaired the meeting of 5th elected body of CCC on Sunday morning.
The meeting approved the 24th meeting’s proceedings held on July 23. Mayor of CCC Nasir Uddin said “CCC has sent the project of lighting of all roads in the port city recently. The project will cost Tk 116 crore.”
He said CCC will renovate the damaged roads as soon as possible. “I hope that most of the renovation work of the roads will be completed before Eid -ul- Azha.”
He said the calling tenders and awarded tenders of development works of Tk 716 crore is under process now. Among others, CEO of CCC and top officials, ward councilors were present at the meeting.
Maximum roads in port city heavily damaged by the recent monsoon rain and high tide. Massive renovation works are needed for smooth movement of vehicles.
