One held with 19 firearms in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 arrested one person with 19 illegal firearms from Puran Sikder para area under Kutubdia upazila of the district early hours of today.
The arrested was identified as Monwarul Islam Chowdhury Mukul, 51, son of Dr Jabar Ahmad of the area.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the area around 4am and arrested Mukul in possession of 19 firearms, said Company Commander of RAB-7 Major Ruhul Amin. Later, he was handed over to Kutubdia Police Station, added Amin.
