64 AL activists sued for terrorism , 6 held in Gournadi

A case has been lodged by son of an AL leader against 64 AL activists for terrorism in Gournadi of Barisal on Saturday night and police arrested 6 accused on Sunday morning.
Abul Kalam, Gournadi police station officer- in- charge, said. Sahriar Fakir Sagir as complainant lodged the case on Saturday night against 42 accused by-name and 22 unnamed.
|Shariar Fakir Sagir, was son of Khanzapur union AL president and former vice president of Barisal bus workers union Kamal Fakir and among the 42 by-name accused included Farid Bepari, Khanzapur union Jubo League vice president, and other activists of AL and front organizations.
Police already arrested Ibrahim Bepari, HSC examinee and BCL activist, Habibur Rahman, sales representative and AL activist, Helal Bepari, Babu Bepari, Nur Alam Majumdar and Shahidul Fakir, AL backed bus workers union activists, and court sent them to jail on Sunday, sources said.
It was learnt that two factions of local AL led by Kamal Fakir and Farid Bepari engaged clash with lethal weapons and blasting cocktails on Friday night at Vurghata bus-stand area over spreading control and distribution of tolls collected from vehicles .In that clash Kamal Fakir and 11 others were injured.
