A neglected school
The condition of Bangladesh Railway Chandraprabha Vidyapitha at Paksey in the district of Pabna is extremely poor. It was established in 1924. Once famous for good results in the Entrance, the Matriculation and the SSC examinations, it has now been gasping with 120 students and four teachers only. The rundown state of the school building also exposes concern authority’s apathy to the expansion of education.
It is really painful and beyond calculation how could be the condition of a high school in the country’s largest railway divisional town so unfortunate!
Contrarily, the condition of North Bengal Paper Mills High School and Bangladesh Railway Girl’s High School founded in 1918 appear to be good with sufficient number of students and teachers.
We draw, therefore, the attention of the Bangladesh Railway in this connection to take measures for improvement.
